Armando Piedra joined BGS Smartcard Systems AG in 2002 as Head of Project Management and Business Support for Europe & Middle East. Prior to that he worked as Senior Programmer and Team Leader from 1996 to 2002 at Initiative EDV GesmbH, developing payment interfaces and other software solutions, targeted largely towards Austrian Municipalities.

Armando Piedra was born in 1973 in San Juan, Puerto Rico and completed two years of International Business with emphasis on Information Technology at the University of Vienna. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional and is currently working on his MBA in Technology Management.
