Richard Schweger

Richard Schweger has been working as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer for BGS Smartcard Systems AG in Vienna/Austria since the company’s founding in 1997. From 1995 to 1997 he was Managing Director at Dr. Temt Laboratorie’s US operations. In 1994 he joined Arthur Andersen & Co Frankfurt/Hamburg/Berlin in the Real Estate Services Group Division where he was in charge of Appraisals and Project Development.

He is co-founder of BGS which started as a trading company for IT equipment in 1988. BGS evolved to BGS Industrial Management Consulting GmbH where Richard Schweger served as Head of Operations including Eastern European computer projects, the department for Cashless Payment Systems, as well as corporate restructuring.
Richard Schweger was born in 1964 in Salzburg/Austria and received a Master of Business Administration at the Vienna University for Economics and Business Administration.
